This June, we're thrilled to invite all boys and girls, aged 6 to 16, to join us on an exciting adventure in the world of touch rugby. Hosted by the Gaston County Park's and Rec and the Gaston County Rugby teams, our Youth Rugby Camps promise fun-filled Tuesdays and Thursdays filled with fitness, friendship, and the thrill of learning a new sport!
Touch rugby is a modified version of traditional rugby, designed to be safe and enjoyable for children. It's a high-energy game that combines running, dodging, passing, and scoring, all with a gentle touch instead of a hard tackle. Think of it as the world's most exciting game of tag, but with a ball!
These camps will be held at Martha Rivers Park in Gastonia, NC, on June 13, 15, 20, 22, 27, and 29, from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM. The beautiful open spaces of the park provide the perfect environment to learn and play rugby. And the best part? It's completely free!
At our Youth Rugby Camps, kids will learn everything about touch rugby. They'll learn how to pass, how to dodge, how to score, and most importantly, how to have a fantastic time while doing it. Our skilled volunteers from the Gaston County Rugby Men's and Women's teams will guide the kids through every step, sharing their love for the sport, and teaching them about teamwork, respect, and discipline in a fun, friendly environment.
It doesn't matter if you're new to rugby or if you've played before. These camps are designed to be a fantastic introduction to the sport. You can attend one camp, or you can attend them all - each session is a new adventure!
