Rusty Tood, Club Secretary

The Gaston County Rugby Football Club (GCRFC) recently held club elections, bringing a renewed energy to the upcoming season. The new leadership team showcases a combination of seasoned veterans and dynamic newcomers, all eager to continue the growth of rugby within Gaston County. GCRFC looks forward to a spirited season competing in the Carolinas Geographic Rugby Union's Division 4 league.

Kevin Lamp was re-elected as President, continuing his seven-year tenure in the position. Lamp has been a beacon of inspiration for the GCRFC, tirelessly championing the growth of rugby in Gaston County. His leadership and vision will continue to drive the club forward.

Allen LeCroy, who retired from his playing career last season, returns as Vice President. He also sits on the CGRU Board as Director of D4 Rugby, further validating his invaluable contribution to the club and the broader rugby community.

Austin Duncan is set to return as the Match Secretary. Serving as the team's 8-Man, Duncan is a key part of the team on and off the field. His impeccable record-keeping ensures no score goes unnoticed.

Paul Smith will be stepping into the role of Treasurer, transitioning from his three-year stint as team captain. Smith, who plays Full Back for the team, will be responsible for managing the club's financial assets, fondly referred to as the 'club jewels'.

Rusty Todd, a sturdy prop of the rugby team, will take over as Club Secretary. We look forward to continually growing GCRFC and Rusty's role will be pivotal in keeping the club organized.

Nate Preval returns as the GCRFC Coach, continuing his journey of building and shaping the club. Having played numerous positions throughout his career, his broad knowledge and experience are certain to guide the club towards continued growth and success.

Mike James, who joined the team in 2007, will serve as Team Captain. The seasoned Fly-half is expected to lead the team with his experience and undying passion for the game.

As Pack Captain, Trip Adkins, who plays as a flanker for GCRFC, will lead the pack. Despite suffering an ankle injury in the last match, his dedication remains unshaken, and we look forward to seeing him back in action next season.

John Lenti, who recently completed his first season with the team, will take on the role of Backs Captain. Playing as scrum half, his swift adaptability promises a dynamic season ahead.
